Osborne customers by developing and showing the practical use of electronic
animal identification with equipment and microcomputers that improve the
efficiency, ease and productivity of managing livestock.
The Farm also allows Osborne personnel to observe the performance of
Osborne's many products in a realistic setting. This leads to continuous
improvement of existing products and the invention of new products as
requirements are better understood.
The size of the Demonstration Farm is representative of the largest possible
range of producers. The Farm has enough animals to conduct meaningful tests of
equipment and management methods with groups and conditions typical of the
industry.
Information and results from the Farm provide Osborne Industries
with the knowledge it needs to continue to produce state-of-the-art,
market-leading livestock management equipment. And the Farm permits Osborne to
continue to be a leading contributor to the pork industry as it achieves
world-class quality in management practices and meat products.
