Practical Solutions for Increased Breeding Efficiency

With TEAM Electronic Estrus Detection (EED) you can:

  • Identify gilts and sows in heat
  • Simplify breeding herd availability
  • Find sows returning to estrus quicker
  • Keep sows productive

How Does TEAM EED Work?

Gilts and sows interact with a teaser boar through nose-to-nose contact at the TEAM E-station™.  Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags are used to communicate the unique identification number of each animal visiting the E-station.  The visit and duration of each interaction is measured and used to generate a very accurate Heat Reference Value (HRV).  The HRV is directly proportional to estrous intensity.

Save Time - Cut Breeding Labor

Using quick reference reports generated daily by the TEAM software, know before you enter the barn how many animals are to be checked and bred each day.  Leverage the time and energy of your best management talent with automation.  Equip each TEAM E-station with automatic spray markers to quickly identify gilts and sows for artificial insemination, vaccinations, or pregnancy evaluation.

Profit From Improved Breeding Efficiency

Raise production levels with TEAM EED by monitoring estrus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for gilts or sows.  Reproductive failures and non-productive days are decreased with the aid of TEAM's heat detection reports.  You can identify and measure sexual maturation in gilts to enhance reproductive lifetime performance.  Monitor individual onset and timing of estrus for incoming replacement gilts while they are isolated and acclimatized to plan availability.

The TEAM E-station is extremely useful for both commercial and seedstock operations.  EED helps you:

  • Plan availability for gilt development units
  • Detect first estrus in weaned sows
  • Identify return to estrus in groups of gestating animals
  • Find animals that would otherwise go unnoticed

Complete Control of Sow Herd Performance

TEAM's complete management and record keeping system automates your control of the total reproductive lifecycle of sows, keeping them working productively for you.  From farm-to-fork, we have a practical system to improve and protect your profits.  Contact us today for details.
